Our Repair/Rebuild Programming

REPAIRING HOMES AND BRINGING HOPE TO HOUSEHOLDS THAT FEEL HOPELESS

We repair disaster damaged homes, provide replacement furniture and appliances, assist with temporary housing, and much more. Some of these homes have been waiting on repair/rebuild assistance since 2017, so the majority of our repair projects are extensive. With the rising cost of construction supplies, repair projects are more costly than ever. Volunteers provide free labor that helps us stretch our dollars to serve more households. Not only do we repair homes, we do our best to mitigate every project to make them more resilient during future disasters.

We have completed ninety over 90 Jefferson County Projects since we launched our programming in early 2022. We have served Jefferson County households impacted by 9 disasters since Harvey in 2017.

Most projects are completed with the help of valuable volunteers from across Texas and the US. Volunteers provide construction labor at no cost. This allows us to stretch our funding dollars to serve more individuals and families. We completed our first new construction home in December 2022.
